The Rousey
Home Place is in central Kentucky, about 50 miles SSW of
Lexington.

It is
about 15 miles SSW of Danville, KY and somewhat near
the towns of Junction City and Hustonville.

It is just
outside of an area called Butchertown near the county
lines of Casey and Boyle.

Junction
city is just south of Danville on 127. From
Junction City you
would take 37 for about 8 miles and turn left on
Carpenter Creek Road
right after an old country store on your right.
Take Carpenter Creek Road
about 2 miles to the Boyle / Casey County line and the
farm is up a
hill to left just past a small bridge.

Coming
North on 127 through Liberty you would go to Hustonville
and
take a left on 78. You would go one mile and take a right before
a small bridge onto Black Pike Road. Follow that
for a about 1 mile
and take a left on Maxey Valley Road After a few
hundred yards or so,
be sure to turn right onto Carter School Rd and continue to follow this road.
Continue on until
you are able to take a left on Butchertown Road.
You will follow
Butchertown Road for 4.17 miles over some hills and
valleys. The
Rousey Home Place will be on your right just before a
small bridge.

The Old
Rousey Homeplace is located on the Boyle / Casey County
line on Carpenter Creek and Butchertown Rds. These
roads are
essentially the same road. Take the rock entrance
up the hill. Once
on top you can take the left fork in the road to get to
the Rousey Cabin.
