Tentative Plans for the Rousey Reunion 2016

First Meeting to Plan Rousey Reunion 2016

Date: Friday-Sunday, July 15th, 16th, & 17th, 2016
Place: Rousey Old Homeplace, 4170 Butchertown Road, Parksville, KY

Meals:
• Breakfast and Lunch will be each family’s responsibility.
• Bring your own drinks
• Friday night’s meal will be beans and cornbread provided by locals (any cornbread donations will be appreciated)
• Saturday night’s meal will be the main event pot luck. If you need to keep food cold, try to bring it in a cooler.
Friday Tentative Activities
• Jeep Rides to Sand Knob tower
• Hayrides
• Cornhole, horseshoes or other games
• Beans and Cornbread supper
• Homemade Ice Cream for dessert
• Rook Tournament
• Night Hike
Saturday Tentative Activities
• 7AM Fun 5 K Trail Run/Walk
• Registration Booth
• Reunion Store- t shirts, hats, cookbooks, family tree memorabilia, family tree CD, **To insure that t-shirts are available you can preorder. Check the website and facebook page for details later.
• Raffle of donated craft or other family items like reunion picture book

Family Genealogy Book is being updated by Patrick. No new hardback books will be available but we hope to put the book on a CD that will be available in our Reunion Store. Patrick has requested that you send family history that you know including recent births and deaths to his daughter via email: dsa0878@yahoo.com He will continue to add to the information as long as he is able.

Accommodation contacts are listed at the end of this information. Note the guest houses in Stanford are a new addition. These are houses that can accommodate families. Also the Bedford Inn in Liberty is locally owned and very nice.

David McMullin

David McMullin, 61, of Ludlow passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Williamstown, Kentucky
He was the son of George Woodrow and Anita Rousey McMullin, the grandson of Loyd and Tina Rich Rousey, great-grandson of William Rousey and great-grandson of Cam Rousey. He was a great supporter of our Rousey Reunions.
He was employed by EGC Construction Company for 43 years where he was a General Superintendent. David was a member of Mt. Olivet Christian Church in Williamstown. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and loved to travel. David was a former Deacon and Trustee of the Baptist Church, former Ludlow City Councilman, and former football and baseball coach with Ludlow Youth Football, Ludlow Athletic Baseball Club and Ludlow First Baptist Church.
David is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Joyce (nee: Roberts) of Ludlow; daughter, Shantel (Tony) Schachere of Dry Ridge; grandchildren, Dylan and Delanie; and sister, Yolanda Mitchell of Ludlow.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George “Woody” and Anita (nee: Rousey) McMullin; and brother, Glen McMullin.
Visitation was Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 4:00 PM until the hour of service at 6:00 PM, all at Erlanger Baptist Church, 116 Commonwealth Ave., Erlanger, KY 41018
Cremation followed the service with inurnment held at the Rousey Family Cemetery.
