Shirley Rousey Adams, 80, of Danville died October 24th, 2012.  She was the wife of Harold “Tommy” Adams to whom she had been married for 62 years.  Born Feb. 5, 1932, in Butchertown, she was a daughter of the late Loyd Carl and Tina Rich Rousey.  Shirley was a graduate of Hustonville High School, a member of Indian Hills Christian Church for 47 years, and loved taking care of others.  She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Michael Adams, and a grandson, Michael Aaron Adams.  Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Janet Adams (Danny) Watkins of Gallatin TN, and Jane Adams (Tim) Sharp of Danville; a son, Gene (Christina) Adams of Lake Worth, FL; a daughter in law, Sheila Adams of Danville; six grandchildren, Brian (JeriKay) Adams, Brad (JoMarie) Adams, Kara Watkins (Justin) Owen, Matthew Adams, Gregory Adams, and Hannah Sharp; four great-grandchildren, Bailey Johnson, Connor Johnson, Abi Adams and Gabe Adams; a sister Nina Hatter of Junction City; and four brothers, Patrick Allen (Mildred) Rousey of Moreland, Buddy Glenn (Joan) Rousey of North Fort Myers, FL, Loyd Sherwood (Patricia) Rousey of Plant City, FL, and Ronald Wayne (Barbara) Rousey of Lexington. She was preceded in death  by sisters, Margaret Berry and Anita McMullin; and brothers Robert, Phillip and Palmer Rousey.   The funeral service was 11AM Saturday Oct. 27th at Indian Hills Christian Church.  Pallbearers were Bill Fox, Barry Rousey, Bruce Rousey, David McMulllin, Kenny Rousey, Keith Rousey, Jimmy Rousey and David Anderson.  Memorial donations are suggested to the Indian Hills Christian Church building fund.  An online guestbook is available at www.stithfuneralhome.net .
