Shirley Rousey Adams

Shirley Rousey Adams, 80, of Danville died October 24th, 2012.  She was the wife of Harold “Tommy” Adams to whom she had been married for 62 years.  Born Feb. 5, 1932, in Butchertown, she was a daughter of the late Loyd Carl and Tina Rich Rousey.  Shirley was a graduate of Hustonville High School, a member of Indian Hills Christian Church for 47 years, and loved taking care of others.  She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Michael Adams, and a grandson, Michael Aaron Adams.  Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Janet Adams (Danny) Watkins of Gallatin TN, and Jane Adams (Tim) Sharp of Danville; a son, Gene (Christina) Adams of Lake Worth, FL; a daughter in law, Sheila Adams of Danville; six grandchildren, Brian (JeriKay) Adams, Brad (JoMarie) Adams, Kara Watkins (Justin) Owen, Matthew Adams, Gregory Adams, and Hannah Sharp; four great-grandchildren, Bailey Johnson, Connor Johnson, Abi Adams and Gabe Adams; a sister Nina Hatter of Junction City; and four brothers, Patrick Allen (Mildred) Rousey of Moreland, Buddy Glenn (Joan) Rousey of North Fort Myers, FL, Loyd Sherwood (Patricia) Rousey of Plant City, FL, and Ronald Wayne (Barbara) Rousey of Lexington. She was preceded in death  by sisters, Margaret Berry and Anita McMullin; and brothers Robert, Phillip and Palmer Rousey.   The funeral service was 11AM Saturday Oct. 27th at Indian Hills Christian Church.  Pallbearers were Bill Fox, Barry Rousey, Bruce Rousey, David McMulllin, Kenny Rousey, Keith Rousey, Jimmy Rousey and David Anderson.  Memorial donations are suggested to the Indian Hills Christian Church building fund.  An online guestbook is available at www.stithfuneralhome.net .

Sherry L. Ward, age 63, of White Pine,TN passed away at her home on August 17, 2011 after a lingering illness. She was a faithful member of Leadvale Baptist Church until her sickness prevented her from attending. She is preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Melba Rousey; five brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Calvin Ward; daughters, Dawn (Dennis) Barker, Donna (Ross Jasper) Lamb, Ronda Price and Robin (Michael) Parker; the loves of her life, her grandchildren Dennis Barker, Jr., Eric Rector, Brittany Starnes, Latoshia Price, Megan Jordan, Matthew and Jacob Parker; six great-grandchildren; brothers, James Rousey of Alaska and Steve Rousey of Illinois; sisters, Barbara Meyers and Donna Rousey, both of Illinois; also several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2011 at 8:00pm in Leadvale Baptist Church with the Rev. Charlie Harkleroad and Rev. Charles Robison officiating. Family will receive friends from 6-8:00pm prior to the service at the church. A graveside interment service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011 in White Pine Cemetery at 1:00pm. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to: Farrar Funeral Home, PO Box 206, White Pine, TN 37890 to help with funeral expenses.

Wanda Elaine Rousey Swanner Robinson, 64, of Bloomington IL (formerly of McLean, IL) died of gallbladder cancer Monday Sept 6, 2010
at Asta Care Center, Bloomington. 
 
Wanda was born January 14, 1946, daughter of Marion Rousey and Alta Pearl Southerland.  She is survived by her children, Lane Swanner
and Jacquelyn Diane Robinson; a grandchild, Aurora Jade Hughes; sisters, Helen Hughes and Joan Reineke: one brother, Richard
Rousey and many nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Marie Sapien, Norma Gordon, Lorene Collison, Christine Ellis and two brothers,
Marion Eugene Rousey and Donald Wayne Rousey.
